Creativity isn’t always easy to drum up, and we all have our specific ways to find it. Some of us like to go on long walks or head to the beach for the day. Others have a drink by the pool and stare at the sky for an hour while they contemplate the meaning of life. Somehow, we all drum up the energy and the will to write our blog posts and get them posted in a timely manner. However, on those off days or bad weeks where it feels impossible to generate any quality content, putting a bit of effort forward will make all the difference. Here are two things to keep in mind when writing your blog posts.
Debate Something
Some blogs make their living off of posting controversial topics and allowing the readers to argue about it until the sun comes up. A lot of the time, this means that the audience as a whole will love to argue. Try to get a guest post in on a website like this, and see if you can’t generate some interest and discussion on your own website (ask if you can include a link to it when you post the blog). People love drama and heated discussions – we love it in our movies, our TV shows, and especially the Internet.
You Don’t Look Dumb – Stop Worrying About It
A lot of blog writers aren’t happy with their ability to write, and sometimes this leads to the inability to think of topics. It’s not that these writers don’t have something to write about, but it has everything to do with the fact that they don’t feel confident writing about any topic they’ve never written about before. Stop worrying – start writing!
